2015 Competition Rules
Ideas submitted to this competition may come from an individual or a team from anywhere in the United States.
There is no limit to the number of members on a team,
but team entrants must select one team member (a spokesperson) to present the idea.
Any area of business is valid.
Must select under which category the team will compete.
All ideas must be original work or an improvement upon an existing idea without infringements.
If the applicants are involved in an existing venture or company, the existing venture must have only been established for a year or less at the time of the competition.
Winning teams are required to share the awards from this competition among all team members.
All winners that will be receiving award money and prizes must provide personal information (social security, address, etc.) to Purdue University Calumet. This is a necessary component the university needs to meet under Federal and State guidelines.
All winners agree that volunteered services must be used within one year from the date of the award and that service providers have up to one year to provide the volunteered services to the winners. If services are not used, this will amount to a void.
All applicants/competitors by entering this competition agree to allow Purdue University Calumet to use their application materials, photos, likenesses, presentations, and other such information to market, promote, and provide information about the Big Sell Entrepreneurship Competition.
